Add Edge 14 as current browser on Windows 10 Mobile #2119

I can add the data if you don't have a device with Win 10 on it, but I need the browser added first.

dstorey commented 8 years ago

There was no release of Edge 12 like on desktop...went directly to 13 to match same version across desktop/mobile.

+1000, older devices begin to receive updates.

@Fyrd any movement on this? iOS9.3 is already been there a while and it hasn't even been released, yet Edge mobile has been on the market in final form for while.

Fyrd commented 8 years ago

@dstorey Sorry for the delay on this, the reason it hasn't been added is because I don't like including browsers that I cannot test myself on an actual device or at least an emulator/simulator. If this is something your team can help me out with (feel free to email me if so) I'll be happy to include the Win10/Edge 13 browser.

You can emulate win10m with hyper-v.

I'd like to add a little push @Fyrd :)

Here's an updated emulator with the latest Windows 10 Anniversary Update: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53424 (I assume it should include Edge 14).

Schweinepriester commented 8 years ago

(Also there are free VMs with Edge, see https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/, which I'm quite sure can (e|si)mulate mobile behavior)

Support for Edge mobile from browserlist is blocked by this issue. It will be great to have it at least in data.json without actual feature data.

(Its feature data should be generally same as one for the desktop version, though.)

You should be able to access Windows 10 Mobile emulators from Visual Studio Installer:

Is there anything I can do to fix this?
