Registration updates and code cleanups #135

This pull request

changes "Login" to "Username" throughout the registration process.
adds a notice regarding the nature of the username (will be displayed and cannot be changed).
increases the timeout until gin-auth redirects back to gin-ui to 15 seconds.
refactors the account activation success message since "First name" and "Last name" are no longer required.
adds various code cleanups
