I have now responded back to THERMAPEX:
I am very happy that you wish to include the GBIF nodes in Europe in this effort to improve the conservation protocols for marine apex predators! The Norwegian GBIF node (and I am certain also the other GBIF nodes) is on standby to support data publishing and data use through the GBIF platform!! When the COST action is up and running, one of us will, of course, be most happy to contribute to present how the GBIF data-sharing mechanism works, if useful.
You may always contact the network of European GBIF nodes through our GitHub helpdesk at https://github.com/GBIF-Europe/Regional-helpdesk
However, I was not successful in identifying a colleague in the GBIF network available to actively join the COST action - to participate in the development of these protocols. Notice that the GBIF nodes are more specialized in curating the actual data streams.
Created an ECA helpdesk issue https://github.com/GBIF-Europe/Regional-helpdesk/issues/5
I was approached (assuming in my role as regional GBIF representative) by a team planning a new COST action for marine apex predators - and have suggested linking with OBIS and GBIF Nodes in Europe for data publication.
This is a proposed new
Are any of you interested to join this COST action?
