Time-stamped backup of selected atlases on device to SDCard.
Ability to initialize/recover selected atlas connections and their data to fresh installation, possibly on a different device & OS version.
Backup format containing documents, attachments, and metadata decipherable by standard tools on PC/Mac/Linux.
Use cases:
User backs-up to same or different SDCard each night. Each distinct backup is kept on card and recoverable. Card is removed from device and stored in alternate location. Can restore "atlas connection and data" (need a name for this) of choice from backup of choice to same or different device from SDCard at future date while remaining offline.
Expedition backs up to SDCard, removes card from device, drops device in ocean. Sends card to GCRC for recovery. GCRC uses another android device and syncs, or uses scripts to extract changes form backup and submit manually.
If the backup to SD card was following the format used by the "nunaliit dump" command, then the files found on the SD card would be useable outside of the phone application.
