Important Notes:

Do NOT worry about creating finished and polished pieces! The iterative process is meant to have a quick turn around. Sketches and loose coloring is perfectly fine! I repeat DO NOT MAKE POLISHED PIECES!! These are just concepts that only need to convey the general idea
do not worry about fitting the style right now!! Concept art is all about the design of the monster. The style itself can be adapted to the design later on.

Your Task:

Create monster concepts for the Sight Beast!! For each design you make, jot a note about the specific thing you are experimenting with that drawing. Ex. What if they had a skull mask?

Hi Athena here, oh my god that cloak design is so cool. I love the like menacing head tilt. Side note: loving the comments guys these are awesome great job both of you! The stone humanoid stuff goes hard.

Very nice, the animalistic approach is a great idea!
I think the concept of "Sight" and "Light" could be pushed even further to be made the central focus rather than accent details. Like the candle hand bursting out more and making the eyes a larger focus point. Also I feel like "face is the big light source" is something we could explore.
The silhouette is a bit rounded for their "made of stone" vibes, is the long hand with eyes their tail or their other arm?

Hi Mike, Ye the hand is made of rock, and that tail is a hand tail like for push the big body to move. I will work on the body again.

I like the feline design, its an interesting departure from them so far. I think the more animalistic focused direction is good to consider for all the monsters in the iteration process.
One thing though is you have to make sure the eyes are very frontal focused, because an eye being on the tail or too close to the back implies it can see behind itself (unless it can once aggro'd, in which case you would want it to stay hidden until then.
The armor(?) stuff looks very nice, I like the greebling reminiscent of muscle and stone or even storage packs.
The central eye as the head is good, but maybe we could make it more horrifying if the teeth were like a mane and/or it only opened its mouth in aggro, since that makes the eye less clear and blobs the silhouette.

Ye I agree with you mike, and yes I believe once they wanna attack people then we see all the teeth and eyes.
