3 months ago Simple flange and screw mechanism was added to the payload hull and nose cone. Added two slots for pin access outside the payload for applications such as switching between "code" and "data" mode by using an external switch.
Securing nose cone which contains the MPU 6050 Gyro while still being able to run wires from PiCO to Gyro with multiple locking and unlocking sequences. Integrating the Gyro into the hull would make the problem easier but would likely impact the weight, balance, and size of the rocket. Current mechanism is threading for ~3 revolutions, which overstresses the wires and causes them to rip overtime from the gyro due to overstress. Other locking mechanisms that don't require as many revolutions would be ideal.
