I believe this should be ui_instageni_am. As a larger issue, the service registry has no “official” way to tell me what type of AM a URL points to - should it? It’s a super expensive operation to take all these URLs and then call getversion on them to try to guess the type (getversion also has no reliable way to know)

While it is true that Utah CloudLab (utah-clab) is implemented from the InstaGENI code base, its purpose is different from a typical InstaGENI aggregate. A decision was made to put it in the "Other" category when it was federated with the GENI Clearinghouse to distinguish it from the typical InstaGENI aggregates on the portal UI.

On the larger issue, that's certainly something that could be added to the service registry if the community wants additional fields on services.

The current attributes are an extension to support the portal and other user interfaces. The attributes can be used to categorize the majority of aggregates. The aggregate URLs themselves are probably a really good source for determining the type of an aggregate. None of these is a positive ID, as you point out.
