Improve API documentation #883

The only reference is the API.md in github. I suggest to include extended explanations and examples in a section of the online documentation. To efficiently use the API for bulk downloads, one need to know the country codes associated to the features. For this reason, we should provide also the API to download also ADM0, ADM1 and ADM2 information as json.
