Resolved: Installing QGIS-LTR for Mac Books #13

Hi y'all,

For the two (Emma + Nick) & anyone else who's running into to security issue with installing QGIS-LTR (3.16) on the MacBook, here's how to bypass that.

  1. Just have QGIS-LTR installed & in your applications folder
  2. Open your system preferences, then head to security & privacy Screen Shot 2021-03-03 at 2 00 48 PM
  3. Click on the general tab & unlock your computer Screen Shot 2021-03-03 at 2 01 04 PM
  4. Now open QGIS-LTR; you'll likely get the security notification again, but that's good! If you go back to the general tab in security & privacy you should see this: Screen Shot 2021-03-03 at 2 12 19 PM
  5. Click open anyway & there you go, QGIS-LTR should work now. Also, don't forget to lock your security settings again!
