Rename `master` branch to `main` #154

main is the new default branch name for repos on github, and following a bunch of other examples, we should rename our main branch as well :) More info here.

It's probably a good idea to merge both open pull requests and change the name afterwards, but this should be done before setting up formatting and linting automation as for #141.

Since there was work happening on #141, this was done :) This shouldn't impact #121 too much.
