The Trove harvester behaves erratically if you don't limit your query to either 'Newspapers' or 'Gazettes' using the Type facet.
Previous versions of the harvester defaulted to using the 'newspaper' zone if the type wasn't selected. I recently swapped in the trove-query-parser which sets the default zone to 'newspaper,gazette'. You can't harvest from more than one zone at a time, so this produces strange results -- harvests hang, number of results is wrong etc.
There's an easy workaround, just make sure you use the 'Type' facet to select either 'Newspapers' or 'Gazettes' when constructing your Trove query.
