CC BY 4.0 License proposal

This repository only contains material produced by us. Before publishing it, and allowing for external contributions, I think we should decide for a license, under which we will release the content. Since this repository contains documentation (markdown files, pictures, pdf...), I think that Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0 can be a reasonable choice. (See here for a summary https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ )

I think that we need:

• Attribution: that's a nice thing to have: those who collaborate, get proper recognition of their authorship. Also, if someone decides to fork this repository, or to build something else using the information that we collected, they will have to quote us, and world will know, and (hopefully) help improving these docs.

This is not the Commodore64: no one knows this computer, no one wants to play their nostalgia games on it, so it is very unlikely that someone is going to build an emulator, sell it to the masses, and become rich. I think this documentation is here just to help many other retro-computer amateurs out there. So, I also think that these Create Commons restrictions are not necessary, because I don't see any way we can exploit this material commercially, and thus I see no threat:

• Share Alike
• No Derivative
• No Commercial

It is implicit that everyone that is going to contribute to this repository, is going to release their work under this license.

Of course, I'm open to other suggestions.

Also, I would avoid publishing the repository before we have agreed upon a license.

@giuliof and @RetroNewbie are the only contributors so far. I'm waiting for your approval/disapproval.

I agree with your license choice. It will probably just used by other amateurs.
