A bug in the RGI7 processing pipeline led to all RGI6 to RGI7 overlaps smaller than 200 km2 to be filtered out (we meant to filter out overlaps smaller than 200 m2, see https://github.com/ezwelty/rgi_links/issues/6). As a result, many link lists in the RGI7 folders are empty or very small.
Furthermore, the links were computed regionally, while they need to be computed globally (a glacier may overlap with a neighboring region). This is now also corrected as of Nov 14, 2023.
Solution
This bug has been fixed and will be corrected in RGI 7.1. In the meantime, you can use the files available here:
