Remember the talk about obsidian being damagable? Here's a plugin that does that. http://www.curse.com/bukkit-plugins/minecraft/obsidian-destroyer
Might be worth taking a look even if we don't decide for it to make it to the live version.
This might solve the new player RP thing if the config lets you set what it considers undeveloped resources (GLD has no trees so it's not going to find a place with lots of wood that isn't a town)

Custom weather, freshly updated: http://www.curse.com/bukkit-plugins/minecraft/properweather
addec custom enchantments. Needs the enchatment api plugin, but there's some really cool ones on here (and some really shitty ones).

I think we used MythicMobs or something like it for a while.. was pretty fun. Wonder how we would do it per-world though...
Will definitely try the obsidian thing, get an idea of how configurable it is and how much firepower is a lot to get through one block.
The pop density plugin seems a bit complex and it may not work well because of the nature of the map.. I think RP is good enough for now (maybe find an updated version that actually puts you in a safe spot or away from towns, etc)
Proper Weather definitely needs to be in the nexus worlds to add more danger and risk.. It looks really cool.
Will consider more enchantments, but we already have enchantment api installed and it seems to add a lot in terms of customizing/limiting what you can get.. But we first have to get that set up correctly.
From what I recall, you can set up mob spawns per world, so you can just have the normal mobs spawn in the desert, and the enhanced mobs spawn in the nexus worlds. We could even use the boss mobs stuff to make the apoc bosses for the 'end of the world' event.
Ah good, that should make things a lot more easier and fun to make if you can control where they spawn.
Now we just need to figure out what kind of special mobs go where.
I'll be testing out some of the other plugins here in a bit.
dungeons & blackmarket in nexus
Since I've been talking over the past week about how mobs should be more dangerous, and we should look at making custom mobs and the like, especially for the nexus worlds to keep them interesting, I decided I should put my money where my mouth was, so to speak.
This plugin: http://www.curse.com/bukkit-plugins/minecraft/mythicmobs covers just about everything, letting us customize every mob on the server, detailing what they drop, how hard they are to kill, giving them special abilities, even making custom new versions of existing mobs. It has lots of features and an active update cycle.
