The existing C, C++98, and C++ examples need to be updated to the latest version of HELICS and have automated testing created so that we can know if there are any breaking changes when HELICS gets updated.

(They are not in the "unmaintained" folder as we expect to maintain them but until this issue is resolved they are effectively in an unmaintained state.)
