Orthologs/Paralog feature, orthomcl clustering of orthologs can be utilized to transfer annotation across organisms.

(a script tool using web services, but somehow automated)

The ability to transfer the same curation fields across multiple orthologs for example GO terms, E.C. numbers, as these can use the evidence code ISO and linked to the source with the with/from attribute. In Artemis the orthologs are linked in the chado database. At EuPathDB currently have orthologs/paralogs as a synteny track in jbrowse.

I'm not sure if these can be utilised in a way to help facilitate this.

Will have a client-side piece as well. Unclear how annotations are related.
