Query: Check lower edge filtering algorithm on subduction tiling #59

There's concern that the edge (see below) in the (esp the 30km) tiled subsections is more ragged than it could be. Is it possible that the filtering mechanism used is somehow exagerrating the raggedness of the western edge?
