Cannot Connect Controller GNS3 3.0.0rc1,Cannot enable Local Controller #3623

Cannot Connect Controller GNS3 3.0.0rc1,Cannot enable Local Controller

GNS3 3.0.0rc1

To Reproduce

  1. Install GNS3-3.0.0rc1-all-in-one in Windows
  2. Download, extract GNS3 VM 3.0.0rc1 and import GNS3 VM 3.0.0rc1 in VM WareWorkstation Pro version 17.5.2
  3. Start the VM
  4. Start GNS3
  5. Goto Prefereneces > Controller
  6. Cannot enable Local Controller
  7. See errors in Screen Shots.

GNS3 version and operating system (please complete the following information):

GNS3_RC1_Controller_Error VM_WARE_WORKSTATION_config VMware_version GNS3_RC1_Controller_Error VM_WARE_WORKSTATION_config VMware_version

Looks like you are trying to use port 3080 in the GUI while the controller in the VM listens on port 80.

Please try to add the controller using port 80. Let us know if this still does not work.

Connected using port 80.
