Unsure what to say really, they work fine in other applications and Windows itself.
Mouse is a pretty common Logitech G502, using default windows drivers (no Logitech software or anything that would remap the buttons otherwise).
(Yes I assigned their functions in the Setup Mouse -> Button Setup... menu.)
I suspect this is down to the fact that much of the mouse and keyboard code is still very much the same as in the DOS days. control.c is probably a good place to start investigating.
