Color problem, unappropiate rendering #689

Every issue should include 3 things: Gpu: 6700xt Cpu: 7800x3D OS: Windows 10 22H2 Blender Version: 4.1.1 (steam version, bc I don't know if it changes stuff)

And I have tried version 24.1.1 and 24.6.1 of AMD GPU drivers

I don't have a scene(since this is probably an engine issue it happens in all scenes, even with the starter cube)

I don't have an error message but an undesirable effect with the render. I cant really show it with an image, but the plane mesh just has a pink color when there's no texture(something I haven't seen in any pro render tutorial), and the shading/diffusing/coloring is just wrong even using the starter cube and default settings. I have tried using blender 3.6 and 4.0, using their versions of pro render released here in github. And when moving around the scene, (with middle click) there are lines, like scratches around the objects

This is using a subdified modified cube image

This is a video of the scratching thing [

I have in my laptop again the version 4.1.1 of blender with the 3.6.11 version of pro renderer, and it works accordingly, the only thing is that it is Windows 11 and it has an intel igpu. But it doesn't have any problem I described here and looks like youtube tutorials.

And I have tried uninstalling all blender files with file manager and through steam, but it doesn't work(also tried reinstalling the addon) . So I guess its maybe my PC, but I don't know why there should be an issue, and resetting my PC would be really frustrating

Thx

That's because your "Viewport Mode" is "Interactive", but you can switch to "Final". The "scratchy thing" (I think it's called ghosting/smearing) is because Interactive uses "Viewport Denoising", denoise causes that. The fuchsia color is because the object has no material or its nodes are connected incorrectly.

It just crashes when i change it to final. But as I said, on a laptop i have, running on an intel CPU and windows 11, even in interactive, doesn't seem like on the photos i placed. And without a texture, it just seems white, not pink.

So on my laptop, i can't change to interactive, there's no option, only final. And indeed it works good and doesnt have the pink color even without a material. But on my main pc with amd, it crashes when placing it on final. No error, it just stops working and closes
