Mapping Exits and Destinations in Singapore

In reference to #98

Objective: Highway exit information is very important to guide and notify at highway exits. We'll be reviewing and mapping missing information from motorway_junction (ref=*,noref=yes) and from motorway_link ( destination=, destination:to=, destination:street=, destination:ref=, destination:ref:to=, destination:symbol=).

Following the analysis made by us, we noticed that the opinions related to the destination:street tags are divided on forums and pages. Some users say that the tag can be used, other users say that the information should only be used in the tag destination because the tag destination:street is on the proposal list, and not yet accepted as a proper tag. In Manila, for example, the destination:street tag is widely used (we have found around 136 cases).

In Singapore, We will not make any further changes to the existing tags added by the community:

• If the destination:street tag is already present on the map, but another street information must be added, we will keep this tag, and add the information to the existing destination:street tag.
• If both destination:street and destination tags are on the map, we will keep both tags with the correct information.
• If there is no destination information on motorway_link, we will add all the information (streets or places) on the tag destination, and not use destination:street.
• If the above approach is not okay, please do let us know what tags we can use to improve the exits and destinations coverage across the regions.
• If in case any community member leaves a note or suggestion or changes the tag to destination:street, it would be accepted as a valid tag.
