I think I favour the first option. Much simpler to implement. It could be made two frames with a menu as is done for the dygraphs options reference. If you make the framework I can write the content.
A big wall of text with bookmarks in it is no problem to implement, but wouldn't this make sense as part of the GRIFFIN wiki (since wikis are just walls of text with internal links anyway)? We should be keeping the documentation all in one place - that way not only will this widget point to its documentation, but the central documentation will have sensible places to point back at the widget.

We need to explain the origin of the data used in this page and in detail the meaning and implication of things such as including the delrins. Some choices for this implementation: -A link to all the information in a document form on one page -A button to activate a help curser to enable mouseover or onclick events to get a tooltip or pop-up for help/explanation of individual objects
