Issue Name: NOAA-CrowdMag_8_2014 - Application crashes when the welcome screen comes up. Device Make: SamSung Device Model: SGH-I927 Device Operating System Version: Android 2.3.6 Browser: Default browser that comes with cell phone – I also installed FireFox. Uninstalled the application and then reinstalled it again. I am still having the same issue with the app. Carrier (or WiFi): AT&T Severity: High Description: Application closes unexpectedly at the Welcome screen. . Give a good description of what happened. Steps To Reproduce: 1) Click on icon to access application 2) I receive a welcome screen – Share your magnetic data with NOAA (Yes/No). 3) Clicked on Yes. – Receive a message “The application CrowdMag (process gov.noaa.ngdc.wmm2) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. 4) Tried again – Same issue – Tried again and clicked “No”. I received the error message again. 5) Tried again – Did not select anything – Received the error message after sitting idle for about 5-10 seconds.

Here are some troubleshooting items that I have done while working with Nir Boneh & Jacob Parcell Hmm.. it's hard to say, it might be something to do with the webview as it is the first tab to be opened. Try to see if you can open: http://maps.ngdc.noaa.gov/viewers/crowdmag/ using your phone._This opened fine on my android._

You should be able to test if you have google play services if you can run the google maps app. If you don't have that just search for google play services on the play store and you should be able to download it. Thank you for reporting the crash._Google Maps is working fine._

The problem might occur due to the fact that the phone does not have google play services installed. We use google play services in order to track the user's location and use the google map api. Newer phones should have it automatically installed in most cases. Is google play services installed on your phone? _Google Play is installed on my android._
