I noticed that the blue dots seem to pile up upon each other, but didn't have this issue.

Great find!
Please save the issue in GitHub
From what we heard from Manoj even a refrigerator in close proximity can change the magnetic fields. So, possibly the flow of power into the phone does the same.
But they need to know.
Just a thought.
Thanks, David

Blue dots SHOULD pile on top of one another if you are remaining geographically still over a period of several readings (10 minutes, or whatever you have it set at). What was weird was that even when I was sitting in my office for 8 hours with my phone laying on top of the desk, it showed dots recording all over the place. I would have LOVED to be at the mall this morning where it showed measurements... but unfortunately I was sitting in a conference room a mile away, and my phone was still quietly rest on my desk. : -)
Thought the app was telling me I was in two places at once for a while. It appears that there is an "extra" blue dot that serves as a map legend indicator for the type of colored dot values being displayed at the different locations you've been are the:
After I figured out that I could tap the legend letters and see the blue dot move from letter to letter, I realized I really wasn't in two places at once. I recommend the blue dot be changed to a red arrow or something totally different than the location dot or measurement dots.
