Should we think about using the USWDS Big Footer to unify navigation across the main, toolkit, catalog, and community areas?
Home, About, Blog, Catalog, Toolkit, Community *also re-order the main home page sections to match the nav order
Toolkit Sub-links-->Overview, Get Started, Case Studies, Resources, Law & Policy
Proposed: change How To to Get Started in the nav and site-wide
Catalog Sub-Links-->View Projects, Add or Edit a Project
_Proposed: move Catalog About nav item content to main Catalog page
Possible new Toolkit "Home" page layout:
[x] Underneath the 3 existing featured content boxes -->move the short Toolkit "About The Toolkit" text from the Communities area
[x] Replace Follow us on Twitter..... section on the Toolkit home page with a section titled "Acknowledgements" use the 3rd About content section paragraph
[x] Use this content to link out to the About & Credits toolkit content that is currently linked in the footer.
[x] Change How To Step by Step page title to Basic Steps for Your Project Planning
[x] Change How To Step by Step on Toolkit Home page to Getting Started
[x] Remove About Catalog page and nav item.
[x] Add blurb to Catalog home page: "Projects listed in the catalog are validated by federal employees" -small, underneath the page title
[x] Remove Follow us on Twitter..... section on Home page
[x] Move the Accessibility item to the main footer. Switch out that link to go to the main GSA a11y policy.
[x] Remove the secondary footer from all Toolkit pages.
[x] Remove the Home page link from the Nav
[x] Make About a drop-down with Overview, Community & Blog (play with the ordering)
[x] Add Search CitizenScience.gov placeholder text in Search box
[ ] Figure out how to incorporate Catalog and Toolkit logo's into the pages
[x] Change credits page title to Acknowledgments
[x] Look at typeface for New Toolkit Overview page sections - is it the right typeface, if Yes, make larger
[x] Look at a different color for the drop-down menu items and background

How can we make this page look more seamless with the site as a whole?
Why do we include the 3 featured sections in the Toolkit nav? (we don't do this for the main home page)
Are the links in the secondary footer still relevant/necessary? (Credits, Accessibility, About)
Do we still need the large "Follow us on Twitter" section?
Does the "Visit CitizenScience.gov to also learn about a catalog of projects and communities to join!" feel disjointed in it's reference to CitSci as if it's not this site? How can we re-write this?
Does it make sense to carry the main nav and logo from the home page throughout the entire site?
How can incorporate the Toolkit logo in a relevant but less overbearing way? Do we still need it? Are we just using it because we have it?
