508 Audit Bugs & Comments

Angelina has identified some bugs and issues regarding the 508 compliance while using her keyboard, zoom mag, and text resize audits. These comments are calling out items that are not working as-expected given the current state of the project.

None of the items described in this 508 Audit Bugs/Comment Tracker are feature requests or enhancements.

Items called out include:

• Keyboard tab order,
• Error handling in DOB section,
• Visual focus indicator
• 200% zoom
• Text resize to 200%

@fongcindy did a triage of the comments,

• we are working here for the issue with the focus indicator https://github.com/GSA/px-benefit-finder/issues/732
• when we load the page the first time we are not loading additional pages, we only update the view, this is why the first tab index is the navigation element rather than "skip-to-main"
• I was able to zoom my screen 200% without any issues, I think the disclaimer on that tool indicates it may not be the best way to test we can do some investigation here

@amycole501 Angelina identified some issues with 508 and Scott was not able to replicate a few items, are you able to replicate these items on your end?

Added my re-assessment in an additional column in the audit results spreadsheet. I also added screen shots.

A sync is scheduled for 1/4 to discuss the items identified in the 508 tracker, we would like to see what these errors/items look like on your end and how to best replicate them
