Since the May v2 data release, the following improvements to Site Scanning data and documentation have been implemented:
A new scan identifies which USWDS classes are used (uswds_usa_class_list)
Created a new scan that identifies the 'Here's how you know' top banner/link.
The required links scan was refactored to accommodate more variability in how sites generate these links, increasing the detection rate.
Ran an analysis of all sites and whether they 1) require www.; 2) break with www.; or 3) return different results depending on if www. is appended.
Expanded the code snippets used for detecting CMSes, increasing the detection rates.
Added CISA HTTPS/HSTS data for sites that previously did not have it by showing CISA which sites they were missing.
Ensured that all websites from the canonical OMB/IDEA list were excepted from the filtering processes that had been removing some of them from Site Scanning's data.
Updated the DAP scan to remove DAP ID tags that are expired and no longer work with DAP.
Created a new scan to detect which version of the DAP snippets is used.
Expanded the list of customer feedback tools, increasing the detection rate for known customer feedback tools.
Refactored code to decrease scan failures
Improved workflow to ensure that no scan data was out of date.
Created more granular scan statuses to better explain why a scan might fail.
