SMS not sent from desktop #1064

When trying to send an SMS from desktop, On desktop:

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Go to Messaging
  2. Click on a conversation
  3. Type a message
  4. Click send.

On the desktop: the message stays greyed https://i.imgur.com/GzQqL1k.png when re-selecting the conversation, the message has disappeared

On the mobile: the SMS is not sent

Expected behavior a message being sent from the mobile and be present in the conversation

Support Log GSConnect: 44 (user) GJS: 16601 Session: x11 OS: Ubuntu 20.10

Same here with equal system details and KDE Connect app version. This has been an issue for at least a month (maybe 2-3).

Same here on Manjaro, Arco Linux, Fedora, etc. with either GSConnect or native KDE-Connect Desktop Integration. …& KDE-Connect application (from F-Droid) on two Android Phones with newest firmware (Samsung Galaxy S5 mini (SM-G800F) & S8 (SM-G950F).

I don't exactly remember the first time I tried - but it's been at least 8 months. Sending messages never worked for me.

Therefore, I'd consider this a bug. BUT: In which part of the API (if applicable)? & in which of the applications?
