GSS Policy and Guidance has a (PDF) document on using symbols in tables that sets out the harmonised list of data markers GSS publishers should be using.
We've previously added this here as https://github.com/GSS-Cogs/ref_common/blob/pmd4/reference/codelists/markers.csv.
This list has had some ad-hoc markers added to it and diverged slightly from the list provided by GSS Harmonisation above.

markers.csvto just use those markers detailed in the "using symbols in tables" document.pathcolumn is used to form the URIs and that thenotationcolumn is used forskos:notationliterals.
