Hi All,
Freezer names outlined below:
Pre-AMP
Post-AMP
We should be able to use the existing diagrams of the freezers I uploaded to box to flesh these out in labkey.
Thanks, Andy
rack column row?
So the topmost line of each group (Drawer) would be the rack and associated barcode. Next line (Column) is the column and associated barcode. Next 4 lines are the boxes checked into said column. Then it moves on to next column.
So you were basically right.
@abohanno , I love being right!! The previous comment from me was a note to ask you about possibly adding a rack column row layer to the storage hierarchy. So for this part: Next 4 lines are the boxes checked into said column, would it be useful to have a rack column row? If so, could I infer that the first entry is at the top position, row 1, then row 2 and so on? Or is getting down to rack column close enough?
I have already begun using this Rack_column_breakdown spreadsheet to bring the information together and its great. To round out the mailing address however, we're going to need to know which Freezer and freezer shelf these racks are on. Is that information available?
I was thinking about the same thing. I do think it would be helpful to have the columns of each rack be a sub-category of each rack rather than having them behave like smaller separate racks.
I think that it's probably safe to assume that in descending order those are positions 1-4 but I would have to look at a rack to be sure.
I will work on getting the physical positions of each rack.
