Vajra has been serving me as a multitool quite well. Is there anything in particular it is missing as opposed to the tool from this mod?

hmm looks like a mod that was abandoned pretty quickly and is in a very incomplete state. Two of three planned parts are missing completely and the third is heavily WIP and nothing was touched since 2016.

what does it actually have, ignoring the plans? Just a armor suite and a tool?

Well, yes, there is only a set of armor, a tool and a modifier block for them. There is only one drawback to this mod and that is the charging of tools. I myself use it perfectly in assembly. Convenient to take anything apart.

I mean, it's hardly a necessary addition given we already have multitools, and can just extend them/create more in GT5U/whatever if they're missing anything

Try installing this mod in a modpack and trying out the tool from this block yourself. It’s convenient to break everything even during the flight, there are no delays in the event of a breakdown. Only the hip won't break.

Vajra, which is already in the modpack, does exactly the same thing. Also, "assembly" is a wrong translation of "modpack" from russian i presume.

Vajra buff time (better than adding an abandoned mod with some useless fluff and a single side gradish type item)

Vajra also can remove cables and machines. Low energy buffer is not really a problem for me as i use gravichest and solar goggles, but i can see how this might be annoying for others. Vajra capacity should definitely be buffed
