While holding an item in a battlegear slot, hitting yourself with a mystery arrow using a dispenser gives you a diamond.

The Reality

You get a copy of the item in the currently held battlegear slot.

Your Proposal

You should get a diamond (or some other fixed drop).

after getting hit with a mystery arrow while in battlegear mode the item drops,but also stays in the balltegear slot, shift clicking it out of the battlegear slot causes it to disappear, moving it with the mouse and putting it on the dropped item causes it to disappear, moving it to another slot and trying to place it makes it disappear,

moving it into a dispenser with the mouse allows it to be used by the dispenser, the items dropped by the dispenser seem to be real,but the item inside the dispenser doesn't seem to be used up

seems to be some weird inventory desync speciffically with the mystery arrows and the battlegear slots.atleast in singleplayer

edit: disappearing happened in the dev environment with battlegear only,but not in 2.5.1
