I expected for the pile of ashes from Biomes o' Plenty I collected from the Nether to be able to used in the nether furnace from Natura.
The Reality
Despite the pile of ashes having a burn time, they are incompatible in the nether furnace specifically. They work perfectly fine as a fuel in an iron furnace so this is likely an issue with the nether furnace itself.
Your Proposal
This compatibility issue needs to be fixed. There are likely some other fuels that also don't work in the nether furnace but that would probably be fixed by whatever adjustments need to be done to allow the pile of ashes to be compatible.
