Mods we need for GTNH 3.0

Zokonius commented 6 years ago

I think it would be kinda cool to add for each magic mod a special dimension: Thaumcraft - Twilight Forrest Botania, Roots - Erebus Astral Sorcery - Aether Bloodmagic - ???

PoptartOverlord-Xabedo commented 6 years ago

how about abyssalcraft for bloodmagic

WarlordWossman commented 6 years ago

Should def look at Advanced Rocketry, mod seems way better than GalactiCraft, which was one of the week points in 2.x since lategame is the same thing over and over and planets lack content. The rockets alone seem much more impressive and complex: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/advanced-rocketry/images

richardhendricks commented 6 years ago

AR is also MIT license (curseforge has ARR, but Github is MIT)

mitchej123 commented 6 years ago

https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/game-stages is an interesting mod that sevtech used. Would be interesting to see how well that could be tied to the gregtech tiers. Bonus: it's open source

how about EssentialCraft 4 Curse: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/essentialcraft-4-unofficial?gameCategorySlug=mc-mods&projectID=254817 Github: https://github.com/TheLMiffy1111/EssentialCraft4Unofficial

You know what I absolutely hate, getting the right painting on the wall. It's such a chore to get the right size and type. Therefore here's my suggestion:

Painting Selection Gui Revamped: Curseforge: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/painting-selection-gui-revamped/files Github: https://github.com/ArtixAllMighty/PSG-Revamped

EDIT: This is also compatible with Paintings++: Curseforge: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/paintings Github: https://github.com/ArtixAllMighty/Paintings-- Which adds the ability to add paintings as image files. There are some pre-made image files available, but you can also make your own.

kamenskyi commented 6 years ago

Add the EssentialCraft 4 mod: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/essentialcraft-4-unofficial?gameCategorySlug=mc-mods&projectID=254817 . I played with this mod in your build and everything works fine without crashing.

bartimaeusnek commented 6 years ago

i would love to see The Aether II and The Aether Legacy in the pack :) EDIT: Both LGPL, Dimension Mods

Zokonius commented 6 years ago

What about Matter Overdrive for endgame: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/matteroverdrive

NGCMan commented 6 years ago

Need to Breathe!: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/need-to-breathe?gameCategorySlug=mc-mods&projectID=283614

Why would we need this? @NaCa1814

Anyways, I'm surprised that nobody mentioned a GregTech mod, like GregTech Community Edition.

speckbrot87 commented 5 years ago

Nuclearcraft if customised would be cool. the radiation and all the different isotopes could add some new aspects and you can tweak the mod quite nice in the configs.

1.12 has Game Stages, and it also has many extensions, which can restrict the development stage if you want. And CraftTweaker in 1.12 has a lot of useful features, you can write those scripts just like writing code~

SirFell commented 5 years ago

i hate you all, noone mentioned SuperCircuitMaker (i think amadornes would have more than enough time to update past 1.10) and Chisels&Bits

Edit: i agree tho that GameStages would be a nice thing, especially if we mix it with plugin for JourneyMap and Antique Atlas

Quark: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/quark Everything is modular, so if a feature doesn't fit for the pack, it can be disabled

Carry On https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/carry-on

Controlling https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/controlling

Crafting Tweaks https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/crafting-tweaks

Cyclic https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/cyclic Everything is modular, so if a feature doesn't fit for the pack, it can be disabled

Dynamic Surroundings https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/dynamic-surroundings

Dynamic Trees https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/dynamictrees

Extended Crafting https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/extended-crafting

Extra Utilities https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/extra-utilities I love using transfer pipes.

Fancy Block Particles https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/fancy-block-particles

Inventory Spam https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/inventory-spam

Just Enough Calculation https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/just-enough-calculation A convenience mod that helps with long complicated recipes, but can be gated behind something for a sense of progression.

Just Enough Resources https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/just-enough-resources-jer Provided that it can be adapted for Gregtech

Mo' Bends https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/mo-bends

Tomb Many Graves 2 https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/tomb-many-graves-2

ryankhart commented 5 years ago

Bewitchment https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/bewitchment For a more experimental, early development mod, since Witchery was never ported from 1.7.10, maybe by the time GTNH 3.0 is available, Bewitchment may be ready. It also is under the MIT license.

plaguewolf commented 5 years ago

If you do end up adding things like Immersive Engineering and Immersive Petroleum, please consider also Immersive Railroading. That would be kind of cool to see in GTNH 1.12

@ryankhart While Dynamic trees does indeed look hella cool, and is immersive in context to realism, its also kind of annoying. Just my opinion though. Maybe if drops were altered to give more? Having to basically deforest a biome to get a stack of wood is kinda meh.

Something else that would be kind of neat would be a movement mod like Smart Moving or Move Plus

That's fine. It sounds like you know more about the mod than I do.

A mod that does FE <-> GTCE EU 4:1 IC2 EU <-> GTCE EU(coming soon) 1:1 I believe the ratios are those iirc

richardhendricks commented 4 years ago

This mod looks really cool and fun, but is currently ARR with an option to be granted rights by the author upon request.

If GregTech Community Edition is a thing in 3.0 this should be the perfect addon for it, not GregicAdditions or Shadows of Greg but this mod https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/nukepowered-utils
