For server performance, it would be nice if there was a suite of cleanup operations that could be done on a timer (Every hour etc), these could be (toggleable):
Clear all dropped items
Kill all hostile mobs (Optionally passive)
Unload chunks?
and X seconds before performing it, the server makes an announcement + some useful statistics after performing it.
