Error accessing /home of user who username contains '.' #42

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Register a new user with a username contains '.'. 
2. Go to /home/[new_username]

What is the expected output? 

The home page of the new user.

What do you see instead?

A HTTP redirection error page.

Issue fixed in gnizr 2.3.0.

Need to verify this problem is also resolved in the 2.4 branch.
