Hey, thanks @chrisvneal for the youtube video on PHP! I'll watch it later. Since our project here doesn't have any deadline to it, I'm looking at the Udacity Yearbook project to see if I can do some quick contribution - looks interesting. I'll come back to our project in a few, but we need some clear directives on how to go forward with this project - like how to get clear images. I also noticed that the product images that I used on the carousel were too large or stretched out and what exactly are we doing in the js files? :)
@Cynth42 I'm not too worried about the js files and interactive functionality at this point. @elementWebDev is on that and he has ideas we'll soon work in when we get to that point.
There's still some layout and design that needs to be tightened before we dig into JS but not a whole lot. The code for the Udacity YearbookProject was everywhere when I got to it and I had to refactor a lot of stuff. If you pull their [maser] you can see and make observations but I refactored and implemented a lot of new things.
Recent posts by the owner still suggest that I go through their selection process and all so it may be difficult to get merged after all I did, but it was good practice anyway lol
I'm learning basic PHP syntax right now through Sololearn. I'm doing my second interview with a small company in the morning for a Frontend Dev position. I will be meeting with the backend dev to see if we are compatible. I feel like the business web project is beyond my skill level, but I'll be aggressive about finding out what I need to know. I have been busy working also and contributing to the forums; I hope life slows down soon On Mon, Apr 2, 2018 at 5:27 PM Chris Neal notifications@github.com wrote:

Thanks @ddpetty, do what you can. No rush here!
@GWGweb-projectgroup
What's up, everybody!
I hope you all had a fun and safe weekend with family 🐰 , seems like the last week has been busy for us all. Apologies for not being here.
Udacity Yearbook Project
I took some time (more than I intended) to look at the Udacity Yearbook Project and see how they were doing with that. I was interested with this project when it launched and wanted to lend a hand, so I tinkered with their code for the last few days. As of this writing, none of my changes were committed yet so I'll be checking back. Check their master if you'd like to help out!
Our Project
I'm ready to pick up the pace on our project. I'll be looking around in the site today, tidying things up and seeing what needs to be done. Don't feel pressured with this project as there is no deadline!
Honestly, I was thinking we could all stay in this group and work on more projects together, adding new members as we go along. Try to pick up new skills and bring them to the project we're working on, hopefully we'll all catch on and learn from the experience (including PHP, for example).
@elementWebDev I'll check out those js files and how they can be put to use.
Off the top, these are tasks that need to get done:
[ ] index.html - front page needs to get built out
[ ] Add better content to carousel - the content is good, but some images tend to look stretched out. If we can find better pictures and get better text in there it shouldn't look as "wide"
[ ] In addition to finding better pictures for the carousel and products in general, I want to add more (maybe 2-3) to the onsale.html page for example so it'd look like there is more content. Right now, it looks like a lot of space to fill out.
Not too bad, but it could use some help if you all agree. Not a huge issue right now!
That's pretty much it for now, like I said I'll be looking around and looking at improvements, thank you for continuing to discuss the project!
@Cynth42 PHP: Front To Back by Traversy Media on YouTube is a good PHP resource if you still need that. I haven't watched it yet, but I will as we move forward and possibly use this technology.
