Auto TS3 Server updater #3

capsload2 commented 3 years ago

Hey, can we include a automatic TS3 Server update check through cronjob ?

capsload2 commented 3 years ago

O_O

Gabboxl commented 3 years ago

Hi, friend. I am deeply sorry for the delay in the response, but I've been very busy in the last few months...

I was thinking to do not include in this repository any tool or script for updating the server as the main purpose of this repo is to contain a guide to run x86 apps on ARM.

I took a little look on Github and found these projects: https://github.com/TS3Tools/TS3UpdateScript && https://github.com/eminga/ts3updater maybe these are what you were searching for! :)

Hello, I'm closing this issue as a solution has been given.

As "ubuntu" default user, i've set this as a cronjob:

@daily sudo chroot ./chroot-stretch/ /root/teamspeak3-server_linux_x86/ts3updater.sh

However, the server is still on 3.13.3, but 3.13.5 is available. When i run this command manually, it works.

Maybe the script doesn't run because of the sudo command requesting a password I think.
