auto update process broke after version # comparison #1

SInce i had to manually move files over, the permissions were impacted. adjusted with chown www-data:www-data chmod 776

thinking i may have 'broken' permissions when i applied above chown/chmod to root plugin folder accidentally, not just evaa folder. I removed all files in backup folder. Tested a commit and update worked - color me surprised.
