Thaumic Replicator Ignores Redstone #4

The Thaumic Replicator ignores redstone signals. According to the Thaumonomicon, the process can started with a redstone signal but this doesn't seem to be the case. I've tried starting it with levers, redstone wire, redstone blocks, etc; both on the side of the block, above the block, and under it.

It also does not work with Extra Utilities's redstone clock, so it's not a matter of pulsing. It's been widely discussed as being broken on reddit too.
