Sensor Simulator Android application Crashes

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. On Ubuntu 11.10
2. Extract the zip archive on /home/user/.sensorsim/
2. Install the apk through "adb install /home/user/.sensorsim/bin/<name of apk>"
3. Launch the sensor simulator application through emulator menu

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Versions : SensorSimulator 2.0 rc_1
Os : Ubuntu 11.10
Java : Openjdk-7-jdk
