Debian still maintains
Last touched in Portage in 2013 to add ARM support
Seems some people use it, no replacement available.

It was an EAPI bump, nothing more.

The problem with removing this is that some zoo archives may exist around, and this is the only way to open them... but I don't like the idea of having abandonware with access to people's systems.

I really don't have good answers here.

Debian says that zoo is for historical value and not meant for serious use. I agree with this and we should put an einfo notice in the ebuild. I will do that now.
