Network icon shows ethernet when connected to wifi, and does not list available networks #454

I'm running GalliumOS on Edgar (Acer Chromebook 14). Stock firmware, installed using chrx.

See screenshot below. nmcli correctly shows my available wifi connections, signal strengths, etc. However, the system tray shows the ethernet icon, and does not show any networks.

I am having this same issue with GalliumOS 2.1 on an ASUS Chromebox CN60 after updating the initial install.

Also seeing this on 2.1 with CELES. Looks like an issue with the applet instead of with GalliumOS itself. Which applet is it? Maybe we should go poke the maintainer of that project.

Are you all using auto login by chance? I reinstalled 2.1 yesterday, enabled auto login and now I am experiencing the same symptoms. If I log out and log back in, it clears up. I can also clear it up by killing nm-applet and relaunching it.
