The shorter version: after install 3.1 on an HP FALCO, I had the same issue with grub shell after the update. Given the Ubuntu base I did "configfile (hd0,gpt1)/EFI/galliumos/grub.cfg". Once booted, I just copied the file to EFI/ubuntu: "sudo mkdir /p /boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu" and "sudo cp /boot/efi/EFI/galliumos/grub.cfg /boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu/". Should future-proof it a bit, too, in case gallium pulls another Ubuntu default config in grub.
I recently installed GalliumOs on a Acer Chromebook CB3-431-C64E, and until now it worked like a charm... After a recent Gallium Update, I tried to boot the chromebook : black screen with a command line saying grub> _ This finally allowed me to boot: https://www.reddit.com/r/GalliumOS/comments/8ulovy/bug_report_30_alpha_now_only_boots_to_grub/e1j5dba Is there a patch to come back to the previous (much more) elegant way to boot? Thank you :)
