Instsallign Gnome causes headphone detection to break #546

iknow this is not supported but hoping someone can point me in right direction. I installed Gnome DE and was able to use fixes for broken trackpad and map function keys, however all sound functions work but I lose the headphone detection when plugging in headphones, I would love to have it back. I can make the switch manually in settings and the jack works. Is there a daemon ot something that is not running in Gnome?

I am using latest GalliumOS on HP Chromebook 13 G1 CHELL.

Everything else works well. thank you.

installing gnome is not supported for now

How did you install gnome? I'm running an Apollo Lake CPU so idc about audio anyway.
