Performance Issues on CB3-431 #576

Recently installed GalliumOS 3.1 on an Acer CB3-431 using Legacy firmware and chrx.

I'm having performance issues. While the internet works, sites like Youtube, Facebook are almost unusable. I can see images being painted on the screen.

Something seems wrong and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. CPU % is maxed out on most tasks. And strangely enough memory usage is way down. In fact half my memory is not used and none of my swap:

          total        used        free      shared  buff/cache   available

Mem: 3.8G 1.0G 1.7G 142M 1.1G 2.6G Swap: 5.7G 0B 5.7G

Any suggestions?

I ended up returning the laptop. I tested ChromeOS and it exhibited the same problems. I guess the processor just isn't up to snuff in this model.
