Hi all,

I recently installed the latest updates and since then, the audio became significantly more noisy. Below are the details of my setup and problem:

Model: QUAWKS Firmware: MrChromebox Installation method: ISO Problem Description:

Looking for how to fix this problem. Thank you in advance.

There have been no GalliumOS updates which would cause this. Try force-reinstalling the baytrail package: sudo apt install --reinstall galliumos-baytrail.

Ran the command. Still garbled. Especially on the bass side.

Edit: Checked my upgrade history: pulseaudio packages were updated recently when i ran gallium os update tool. maybe this caused the issue?

Hm, try stepping the mixer volume down a bit in alsamixer. Bay Trail audio doesn't like to be loud. :(

Yea. Did that. Its really tinny though. weird that it only started recently. before the update, it was brilliant.
