Needs a logo #5

Likadan should have a logo. I am thinking it should be two rubber duckies, with a 'diff' between the two.

I've been meaning to work on this.

trotzig commented 8 years ago

We should just bring in the old Diffux logo to begin with.

I whipped this up real quick using the Squarespace Logo creator. What do you think?

Here's the free, low res, watermarked version in case the link breaks:

We can get a high res version for $10 (or free for squarespace members).

Typeface is Questrial and color is #0faa8d. I didn't spend much time on this.

trotzig commented 8 years ago

That looks absolutely wonderful! I'll gladly pay the $10 to get that logo.

We just need to have the mouth curl up a bit into a smile. According to @hassonics this looks like a hippo in pain, we need a happy hippo! 😁

Thanks @nebs, although none of those look really happy... @lencioni: didn't you say someone in your organization had one whipped up?

lencioni commented 8 years ago

Yeah, @iancmyers was working on some concepts. I'm not sure where he's at in his process. Ian, want to join the conversation?

Here's my latest iteration. I installed Inkscape and did this in vectors. I changed the typeface to Montserrat and made the hippo happier.

Here's the SVG: happo-logo.svg.zip

This is great!

I tried out the svg locally, and it has some issues:

Can inkscape replace text nodes with paths?

Haha so awesome!

The text is rendered using text nodes, which means that people will need to have Montserrat installed locally (which I didn't to begin with, and it made the logo look bad) The last letter ("o") is slightly cut off (this might be because of ^^) Can inkscape replace text nodes with paths?

Here's the slack-sized emoji version if you want it. happo
