I tried putting my settings.xml and credits.txt into the game and it would seem the non-ASCII characters get glitched e.g. "Fábrica" becomes "Fica" or "música" becomes "ma" but full strings of text with no non-ASCII characters show up just fine. Any idea on how to fix that?

Change file encoding (ANSI, UTF-8, etc.) and try again? Accented letters in Dutch encoded with ANSI works properly.

How do I do that? I don't see the option when editing the file on github.

Use GitHub Desktop to clone the repository into your PC. All file changes in this clone can be recorded and uploaded by GitHub Desktop.
