What to order

How to Order

Email me with the following information:

  1. Game Title
  2. Disc Model Number (For Region & Revision)
    • Ex: DOL-GWZE-0-00

Send me an email aj@therootcompany.com with that info and we can do PayPal / Venmo / FB / whatever. \ Due to the listing, selling, and transaction fees, I probably won't set up an ebay store as originally planned.

@martingem, no I'm not selling the games.

The "GC Homebrew Box" is just my fancy way of saying "Shipping & Handling". By separating that out I can keep the cost of the individual items low (and otherwise I wouldn't be able to sell things like the SD2SP2 because the cost of shipping is more than the cost of the item).

@coolaj86 great! Maybe I'd suggest including https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32948880977.html in your item/store list :) i.e. some kind of "GC Bundle - Revised Edition" lol. Otherwise, I'll get one and receive it next year lol!

Why I can't sell SD Geckos (GC Memory Card SD Adapter)

I would have liked to get SD Geckos as well, but I would have to sell them as an $8 add-on item. If I wanted to sell just one by itself it would have to be $20 (to include shipping and handling).

Since other USA-based sellers are doing free shipping at $5-$6, I just don't see how I could compete or provide real value.

If I could source them for $2/each (including amortized shipping cost) then I could sell them as an add-on only item for $4 or $5 and provide value, but I haven't been able to find a supplier at a price point where I could sell them sustainably.

As for now, I'll just say "Hey, here's an affiliate link to a better deal that I could offer, use that". :)

@coolaj86 actually since I'm from Canada it's way less via Aliexpress ($5.95+$12.96 vs ali's 6.22$ combined) I'd suggest other Canadians do the same.. :) Looking forward to getting pinged. You can also email me back if you prefer!

Just came across your video, written guide, and this page. Thanks for the great resources!

  1. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

    • GC Homebrew Box/Bag
    • 1st Hacked GameSave Card
    • SD2SP2 v2 (upgraded version with improved connection)

One thing I was not 100% clear on - would I still need an SD Gecko if my GC can use the SD2SP2? I am trying to figure out if my process would entail 2 or 3 (or 4?) memory devices total. My understanding is that the following entities are all in play:

Basically wondering which of the above will end up "living" on the SD2SP2, the 1st Hacked GameSave Card, my own memory card, the SD Gecko (if that's in play), etc. Sorry for all the noobish questions!

I'm waiting on my Agent Under Fire order to arrive. Hopefully you are still taking orders! Your YouTube videos have been extremely helpful, even more so since I hesitated and didn't buy an Action Replay when they were still available.

Hey Coolja

I was watching your save game exploit video and it inspired me to drag my old gamecube out. I did find that I was missing the gamecube gameboy player disc and since I am in the PAL region the disc are about 150-250 now I looked for alternative. After watching your video I checked the Swiss hacked memory and messaged them but unfortunately they would not create one for me.

So could I please order a hacked memory card for:
